I played the original Portal (I'm not dissing it, its a great game) And I finished it after two hours.Īh, yes. I have 7 hours and I think I am about half way through, but there could be more. The Talos Principle also has a very large amount of puzzles. I have a few friends who paint messages, and I really like it as a mechanic. These messages, however, appear in your friends' games as well. You could put a message that hints at where a hidden lever might be, or helps you find a way of finding the star or an easter egg. When in the hub worlds, you can find cans of paint, where you can then paint messages on the walls. But this game has done it simply and well. Normally social features in games are some shit where they ask you to post your f*cking k/d ratio to Facebook, or share an embarrassing video of you air thrusting whilst trying to do Kinect Skiing. One thing that I like about this game is its, sigh, social features. These are incredibly mind bending, and solving them gives my satisfaction like no other game has before. However, within these mini-hub world (bear with me for a second) there is one big puzzle to find a hidden star. This might involve managing to bring devices out of the puzzles, or finding hidden items, or solving much larger puzzle, reading graffiti on the walls to try and find a subtle hint about where to go. The Talos Principle is one of the best puzzle games I've ever played, not only for its fresh and interesting mechanics (and a god-like figure who does a lot of omniscient shouting), but for its detailed worlds and easter eggs. You start in a hub world, which connects to smaller hub-worlds which contain a few rooms with puzzles in, where you get these mini tetris-piece things called Sigils. The Talos Principle is a puzzle game by Devolver Digital, the creators of Hotline Miami. Oh great Elohim, please forgive me for my lateness. it does redeem itself a bit, because it is only in beta stage, and the game is in early access anyway. And many times, the game would simply back out of attempting to connect to a server. If there was a match where someone had loaded in, the other would not be able to connect. We would join an empty server and it would say "respawning next round" even though the round was over. You have to hold down with each individual hand, and lifting another player makes you wobbly and unstable.Īfter many attempts, neither I nor anyone I have attempted to play with has been able play together online. Gang beasts, itself, is a brilliant fun fighting game, where you play as colourful characters (Who look like jelly babies, in my opinion) who are fighting to push each other out of the arena. The physics based fighting is great, and the climbing and movement is superb - it's based around your characters weight and body and it feels more natural than climbing in some games. I ordered a couple of press codes for me and my friends, but we were greeted with the firm handshake of disappointment. So when the news was unveiled that there was going to be an online multiplayer beta (Instead of the usual local multiplayer) some friends of mine and I were very hyped.

#Gang beasts online beta key free
I have been loving Gang Beasts since its free alpha on game jolt.
